Little is known about the stories of the Mc Cauley family...
Patrick Mc Cauley and Bridget Barr arrived in the United States, separately, in 1893 from County Donegal (presumably Inishowen). It is not clear if they had known each other in Ireland - one would assume not.
They could read, write and speak English.
Patrick and Bridget were married 28 February 1897 at St. James Church in Boston, Massachusetts and resided at 34 Stevenson Avenue, Everett. Standing as witness to the marriage were a James Mc Cauley and an Ann Doherty. The connection to James and Patrick is unknown but possibly brothers. No one has yet to figure out who Ann Doherty was.
Patrick died in 1901 from spinal menegitis. Bridget went on to marry a fellow Carndonagh, Bernard "Barney" Doherty, in Everett and have six more children.
